As an organization our training focuses on Employment Equity and Diversity and Inclusion training. Our facilitators are specialists within these disciplines. We recognize both   the need and that value to drive Employment Equity and Diversity and Inclusion as strategic imperatives for any organization, but especially to organizations whose stakeholders are diverse. These stakeholders are both internal and external stakeholders.

Customer service is recognized to be a key driver for any organization. Strong customer service is build on strong diversity management principles. It is vital that diversity is embraced not only as human rights factor, but also as a business performance area.

We desire to build a legacy of inclusivity and non-discrimination: A workplace free and fair, equitable and representative. Our objective is to partner with our clients in transforming organizations to  embrace the principles of Employment Equity and to foster a culture that promotes diversity and inclusivity.

Training Courses:

Our specialised training facilitated by subject matter experts, include:

1. Employment Equity Awareness (not accredited);
2. Apply the principles of Employment Equity to Organisational Transformation (accredited);
3. Diversity Awareness (not accredited); &
4. Manage diversity in the workplace (not accredited).


Course: Apply the principles of Employment Equity to Organisational Transformation.  (Service Seta Accredited)

Duration: 3 Days (one day a week either weekly or every fortnight)

This course is vital to any organization who is committed to both Employment Equity as well as Organisational Transformation linked to performance and sustainability. We need to build progressive, resilient and  profitable organizations which are also responsible and accountable corporate citizens. It is no longer good enough to ignore the environment an organization operates within, whether political, social, economical or technological. Organizations have to take an executive decision to include Employment Equity and Organization Transformations as a strategic imperative and improved productivity, increased efficiency and  creativity are some of the results of such a decision.

Target Group:   The programme is aimed at:
  • Team leaders, Supervisors & Managers
  • Human Resources practitioners
  • Head of Departments including the Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers,Human Resource Directors/Managers
  • Union representatives/shop stewards
  • Employment Equity Committees

Purpose: A person credited with this Unit Standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of the theory of transformation, the role of organisational change in South Africa, and the Employment Equity Act (EEA) and how these impact on each other. 

In particular, on completion of this Unit Standard, the learner is able to: 
  • See employment equity (EE)as a positive development for an organisation;
  • Recognise that employment equity can favourably influence the business strategy;
  • Discuss the EEA in terms of the history of the country;
  • Recognise that the EEA is an integral part of the HRD strategy;
  • Enhance organisational awareness of the importance of employment equity; &
  • Explain various concepts and principles relating to Organisational Transformation and Change Management (OT&CM).

Outcomes:
Outcome 1: List (comprehensively) the key elements of the Employment Equity legislation;
Outcome 2: Present an understanding of the link between employment equity and the business strategy;
Outcome 3: Determine whether the appropriate relationships exist between Employment Equity and factors impacting on it; &
Outcome 4: Identify non-compliance with employment equity strategy and purpose. 

The course also include an introduction to Diversity Awareness.


Course: Manage diversity in the Workplace. (Service Seta Accredited)

Duration: 3 days

Purpose of the Learning Programme
A person credited with this Unit Standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of diversity among people and in particular in a specific workforce, an appreciation of the role and positive impact of such diversity, and how best to manage a diverse workforce in South Africa.

In particular, on completion of this Unit Standard, the learner is able to:
  • Recognise diversity, stereotyping and phobias relating to diversity
  • Understand in which ways various individuals and groups are, or have been, negatively disadvantaged due to discrimination
  • Discuss how society and communities react to diversity
  • Promote equality among different people by embracing differences
  • Comprehend cultural and other differences among people
  • Relate diversity directly to the South African context
  • Refer to the South African Constitution and Bill of Human Rights in relation to diversity and discrimination
  • Discuss diversity in terms of the history of the country
  • Relate Employment Equity (EE) to diversity
  • Explain various concepts and principles relating to Organisational Transformation and Change Management (OT&CM) 

Outcomes:
Outcome 1: Demonstrate why managing diversity is important in the South African workplace. 
Outcome 2: Understand racism, sexism and other "isms" as a product of a common history. 
Outcome 3: Explain how discrimination and prejudices are experienced by all South African as part of daily life. 
Outcome 4: Actively promote a culture of equality between people of different races, classes, sexual preference and gender. 
Outcome 5: List the solutions that may be available for people to overcome problems experienced with group identity, stereotyping, discrimination, exclusion and other cultural differences.

Employment Equity Awareness

Purpose: The learner will be able to:
  • Outline the definitions, purpose and application of employment equity legislation.
  • Explain the prohibition on unfair discrimination.
  • Define Affirmative Action (AA).
  • Identify the functions and workings of the Commission on Employment Equity.
  • Describe the application of employment equity in industry charters.

Outcomes:
Outcome 1: Outline the definitions, purpose and application of employment equity legislation;
